The new management board of KOPEX SA

The Supervisory Board of KOPEX SA appointed Mrs. Beata Zawiszowska to the position of the president of the management board of KOPEX SA and Mr. Bartosz Bielak to the position of the vice-president of the management board of KOPEX SA. Earlier, the Supervisory Board accepted the resignations of Mr. Dariusz Pietyszuk from the position of the president of the management board and board members – Mrs. Magdalena Nawłoka and Mr. Henryk Jurczyk. Changes within the management board are the results of gaining investor to the company through the acqusition of the controlling block of shares in KOPEX SA by TDJ SA on 1 December 2016. more

Financial results of the KOPEX Group for the first half of 2016.

In the first half of 2016, the KOPEX Group achieved a continuing operations revenues in the amount of PLN 446.3 million (decrease by 25% as compared with the first half of 2015). EBITDA was negative PLN 354.3 million and net loss from continuing operations of the parent entity amounted to PLN 547.3 million. Negative effect on the revenue and poor financial results of the KOPEX Group are due to a very difficult market situation in mining investment, which reflects into a significant drop in orders in Poland and export markets and puts pressure on difficult liquidity situation of the Group. The results in the first half of 2016 were also affected by the one-time events amounting to PLN 512.0 million –  EBITDA in the first half of 2016 amounted to PLN 71.2 million and  net result from continuing operation PLN - 35.3 million. more

Collective redundancies in Tagor

The Management Board of the Tagor company belonging to the KOPEX Group intends to dismiss 120 out of 282 employees in the company in the framework of undergoing restructuring process of KOPEX Capital Group.
